Bioinspired algorithms look to the natural world for inspiration on managing complexity. There are many great references on the topic and it’s application to “real world” problems. I particularly like the work of Zomaya and Olariu, Xin-She Yang and Melanie Mitchell. I hope to demonstrate some of these methods in parallel applications.
