Hello and Welcome!I am a PhD student in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). In this website, I will briefly introduce you to my research interests and hobbies. I am a Research Assistant (RA) at the CORAL Lab at UMBC, and I pursue research in Graph Grammars. A part of my research has been published at the International Colloquium on Grammatical Inference. The paper can be found here. A more recent work has been accepted for publication at the Tenth SIAM International Conference on Data Mining. Recently, I spent two very pleasant summers at Redmond, Washington, where I interned as a Software Development Engineer (SDE) at Microsoft Corporation. In Summer 2009, I worked towards improving the developer experience for Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), especially in terms of handling large SSIS packages. In Summer 2008, I developed the MERGE Destination, a custom component for Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). Being both a useful component and an illustrative example on writing custom components, this project has been listed here in Codeplex, Microsoft's open-source portal. It is available for download here. I am happy to see the steadily increasing number of downloads, which means that people have found my work useful. I defended my PhD dissertation proposal in Fall 2008. At present, I am working on my PhD dissertation research, which I plan to defend in Summer 2010. After graduation, I plan to work at Microsoft SSIS as a full-time employee. |
