Marvin B. Cooper Chess Collection at UMBC

In summer 1995, the family of the late Marvin B. Cooper donated over 100 chess books and numerous chess periodicals to the UMBC Albin O. Kuhn Library. These books are available to any Maryland resident. UMBC is eager to continue building its collection of chess books. Anyone wishing to donate more chess books is encouraged to contact Robin B. Moskal, Collection Management Librarian, (410) 455-3812 and Alan T. Sherman. With generous additions, including those from Dr. Eugene Levin and Dr. Merril Parelhoff, the collection now has over 500 chess books.
