SUMMARY Moves smoothly, a lot of activities happened at different customers, and delivered effective customer support. 2. Accounts Activities * CDS (Canadian Depository of Securities Limited) Finally the storage arrays were shipped, though they were already late for a month due to long lead-time for arrays. Still kept in touch with the customer, to guarantee the satisfaction of the customer. (Now it is ISO's account, I have done with our part.) * CI Mutual Funds Together with our storage specialist Domenic, met IT staff of CI, planned the installation procedure for Sun StorEdge T3. StorEdge Tape Library L700 has arrived as well, once the customer finish the floor planning, the installation will be started. * Citibank Canada They are Solaris fans, met them and talked with frequently, help them to solve quite a few technical problems such as 32bit/64bit mode in Solaris 7, also coordinated with ES people to schedule time for field support. * Fidelity Investments Did Vignette application server sizing for the customer, Vignette is a content management software, which is deployed from their headquarters in Boston. Corresponding Sun Server E450 was ordered for them. There is significant progress in SunRay pilot project, in the customer lab, NT with Citrix and Solaris integration was done, so the user can access MS Office applications from Sun Ray enterprise appliances. Extra disk drives were purchased by the customer to migrate the key application of their production systems. Regarding StarPortal, the customer has signed early access program and pre-release license agreement. However, the product has not been delivered yet ( 2 months late already). Per the meeting last month, instructions were given to the customer to run TNF storage profile testing, the purpose is to verify which is more suitable for the production environment from the existing A3500FC and A5000 arrays. * Merrill Lynch Tape library L700 arrived, followed up with relevant support. * Trimark Several service calls were placed by the customer with A5000 storage and SIMM memory, ES has taken care of them. 3. TRAINING SUMMARY * ASM'2001 in San Diego; * Attended some of iForce presentations, plan to invite the customer to the sessions when it is open to our customers; 4. PLAN FOR THE UPCOMING MONTH * Ready to move to the new office. * Plan to invite the customers to visit our new office, for those such as ML and Citibank who are interested in our SunRay and FO deployment, it is also a good selling point, let them know how Sun adopt the cutting-edging technology and improve our own productivity. * Continuously improve my English and communication skills; * Follow up SunRay pilot project at Fidelity, T3 and L700 planning and installation at CI Funds, etc.
