SUMMARY + Continue to improve my technical skills in a broad disciplines, not only in the server, but also in storage and software as well. + As a follow up effort with Daniela, successfully completed the E10 benchmark test at Sun Beaverton Benchmark Center on Feb. 19, and worked well with our customers. + Actively worked with other SEs and SRs, in case they need any help: - did research on workstation roadmap for Clement; - Installed StorageEdge A3500FC with Elaine at Fidelity Insurance; - etc. + Attend 2nd wave of SE symposium, updated SE knowledge and got to know more about SE teams, excellent! + Make a contribution to E-Biz seminar, I prepared a brief presentation on XML, which is a universal format for structural documents and data on the web. The slides partly came from what I got from SE symposium, and partly from the research I did last year. 2. TRAINING SUMMARY + Storage training: for the network age, the data become more and more important, and data capacity grows bigger and bigger, it's big sell point, and we should never ignore the great opportunity of storage. + In-depth reading on Indentrus. There was a webcasting last month, the contents were made online now, picked up the knowledge for better banking support. + Sun.COM summit, it was good, especially the presentation by Gail Smith, VP from Scotia Bank, let us know how .com from customer perspective. However, most of other contents have overlap with what I got from SE symposium. 3. PLAN FOR THE UPCOMING MONTH + Get involved more with our SEs or SRs, Continue to build fundamental SE skills, get to work well with our customers. + Attend new hire training during the week of April 8 to April 15. + Attend Solaris 8 update and other TOIs.
