Surface Construction

The surface construction step detects the tagged surface. The voxel used here is the unit cell of the lattice of data points that is cubically connected to eight vertex points. Surface voxels are those that have a range of vertex values containing the threshold value. A surface patch is defined by the intersection of the surface of interest and the voxel. We locate the surface by linearly interpolating intensities at the voxel edges.
