Elementary data link protocols
Assumptions:
- The DLL on source machine A assumes that data from Network layer (on A) is all data every bit of which is to be passed to the network layer on destination machine B.
- When DLL accepts a packet it creates a frame by putting a data link header and trailer to it. SEE FIGURE ON NEXT SLIDE.
