Disclaimer: I am not using the Blackboard site to record your grades. I will only upload the scores every few weeks. Uploading the scores from my Excel spreadsheet is a cumbersome process. My spreadsheets are the "master" copy of the scores.
So far we have 5 homework assignments graded. At 3 points each, the 5 homeworks are worth 15% of your final grade. The two quizzes are worth 6 points each, for 12% of your final grade. Thus, we have 27% of your final grade in place.
The "weighted total" field of your grades should report a value between 0 and 27, reflecting the points you have accumulated so far. (You should not see a "Total" field, but if you do, the value is not meaningful.) For your convenience, these are the values for 90%, 80%, 70% ... of 27 points
100% of 27 points = 27.0 points
90% of 27 points = 24.3 points
80% of 27 points = 21.6 points
70% of 27 points = 18.9 points
60% of 27 points = 16.2 points
50% of 27 points = 13.5 points
40% of 27 points = 10.8 points
FYI, the class average (for the 42 students who took Quiz 2) is 23.47 points (= 86.93% of 27 points). The standard deviation is 2.23 points (= 8.26%).
The move is to accommodate the students who will be attending the Career Fair on October 5. If this change represents a difficulty for you, you may request a makeup.
None of the other due dates will change.
