Topics Covered:

• Revisited the TwoDimArray class from before. We want to make this class templated.

  • A straightforward conversion of original code to templates:
    twodim3.H, twodim3.cpp, tdtest3a.cpp and tdtest3b.cpp.

  • A non-templated version using nested classes so SmartIntPtr doesn't have to be in the global namespace:
    twodim4.h, twodim4.cpp and tdtest4.cpp.

  • Modified version 4, so the class definition of SmartIntPtr is outside that of TwoDimArray:
    twodim5.h, twodim5.cpp and tdtest5.cpp.

  • Templated version of version 4. Note the requirement for double templates:
    twodim6.H, twodim6.cpp and tdtest6.cpp.

  • Version 7 moves the templated class definition of SmartPtr out of the class definition of TwoDimArray. We still have double templates though:
    twodim7.H, twodim7.cpp and tdtest7.cpp.

  • Version 8 has a "non-templated" SmartPtr class nested inside the TwoDimArray class. We had to figure out the "typename problem" to get this version to work:
    twodim8.H, twodim8.cpp and tdtest8.cpp.

  • Version 9 adds an overloaded << operator to the mix. Note all the forward declarations needed:
    twodim9.H, twodim9.cpp and tdtest9.cpp.
